Big Cats 24/7 Premiere Date

Calling all feline fanatics and nature enthusiasts alike! Mark your calendars for the premiere of Big Cats 24/7 Season 2 on Wednesday, September 10 at 8/7c.

What Happened in Big Cats 24/7 Season 1?

Season 1 of Big Cats 24/7 took us into the heart of the Okavango Delta, where audiences witnessed countless unforgettable moments.

At the center of the action is the Xudum Pride, led by formidable dominant males, Big Toe and Madumo. While these two lions are tasked with protecting members of their pride from outside dangers, they wouldn’t be where they are today without the contributions from experienced lionesses Nosi, Magogo and Mmakgosi. Thanks to these intuitive mothers, the Xudum Pride thrives in maintaining its supremacy on the savannah — and by the end of the season, 15 new cubs are born, making the pride one of the biggest in the world.

Elsewhere in the Okavango Delta is Xudum, a six-year-old female leopard known for her stealth-like ability and clever tactics. Unlike lions, leopards tend to live alone, making the task of securing food an added challenge. Nevertheless, over the course of the season, Xudum proves to be a master of her hunting skills, particularly her heart-stopping leaps from trees. Unfortunately, Xudum suffers a devastating loss in the Season 1 finale when one of her cubs is killed by a predatory male leopard.

Last but not least, the team follows Pobe, an elusive and solitary cheetah who works day and night to secure food. Although Pobe is notoriously one of the more difficult cats to follow in the wild, her high-chase runs and general demeanor offer some of the most memorable highlights of the first season.
