Host Shane Campbell-Staton Interview Clips

Shane Campbell-Staton is a new PBS host that was introduced through Human Footprint. What better way to acquaint him with our audience than asking a few questions to delve deeper into his life and work as a biologist and professor at Princeton University.

Character Portrait

Whether scholars or scientists, pest removal experts, or Alabama’s first female African American judge, the diverse array of characters defined Human Footprint. These social snippets offer a brief, but meaningful glimpse into their work.

Did You Know Facts

Human Footprint is a layer cake of complex stories filled with some pretty excellent dinner-talk trivia. These “Did You Know” posts called out some of the most compelling, astounding, and at times cringeworthy facts.

Place/ Event Features

In order to examine the nuance and complexity of each episode’s core topic, Shane visited some exceptional (at times bizarre and others awe-inspiring) places and events. This content put the spotlight on things like the Westminster dog show, chicken eating competitions, reimagined cities in Singapore, and the elephants of Gorongosa National Park where stories of our Human Footprint unfolded.

Carousels

Human Footprint captured a diverse range of environments, spanning from the Florida Everglades and the islands of Hawaii, to the Arctic Circle. Take a peek at some of the places Shane had the opportunity to explore.
