After experiencing neglect and traumatic loss while pregnant in prison, Pamela Winn becomes an activist, leading hundreds of thousands to support the Dignity Bill to end the shackling of pregnant people in prison. "WINN" exposes the horrifying experience that incarcerated pregnant people endure and documents Pamela’s mission to end shackling and ultimately prison birth.
Joseph East is a filmmaker based in Atlanta, GA. Joseph directed the documentary, "I Will Dance", which aired on PBS and was selected for the National Endowment for the Arts Southern Circuit tour. Joseph was cinematographer on the documentary "Refuge", which premiered at DOC NYC. Joseph won a Southeast Emmy for his work on the PBS series, "Your Fantastic Mind". He co-directed the short documentary, “Winn”, a film supported by IF/Then Shorts/Field of Vision and that won the Reel South SHORT award.
Erica (Filanc) Tanamachi is an award-winning filmmaker and MFA Cinema graduate of San Francisco State University (2007). Erica was Producer for the feature documentary "Motherload" that won “Best Documentary” from the Hollywood North Film Awards. She also won “Best Documentary” from The Sonoma Film Festival, Silverlake Film Festival and The Documentary Foundation for her short documentary "Living Poets".

Reel South is a cooperative documentary series between the South’s PBS-member stations: PBS North Carolina, South Carolina ETV, Alabama Public Television, Arkansas PBS, Louisiana Public Broadcasting, Texas Tech Public Media, and Virginia’s VPM. Support for Reel South is brought to audiences by the National Endowment for the Arts, Center for Asian American Media, and by South Arts.
