Samia Abdelnabi

Samia Abdelnabi, BSN, MSN, CNM, FNP, a Robert Wood Johnson Future of Nursing scholar, is interested in pursuing research that would garner understanding of the psychosocial effects of infertility on Muslim infertile couples in the United States. She is currently completing her PhD at Wayne State University.

Abdelnabi earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Wayne state University, Master of Science in Nursing with a Nurse-Midwife specialty from Wayne State University, and a Post-Master’s Certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner from South University.

After graduating with her MSN in Midwifery she transitioned to work as a full scope Certified Nurse Midwife. Abdelnabi has worked for a variety of hospital systems including Wayne State Physician Group at Hutzel Hospital in Detroit, Oakwood Hospital in Dearborn, Saint Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ypsilanti, and currently at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor as a laborist. Abdelnabi has a total of 11.5 years of Midwifery experience and remains in practice.
