Ann “Nancy” Corrigan was born in Co. Cork, Ireland. She purposely goes by the name of Nancy because of her love for Nancy Sinatra. At the age of seven, when her mother sadly passed away, Nancy was brought up in an Orphanage run by Catholic Nuns in Ireland.
At the age of 17 Nancy gave birth to a girl, Colette. Far from ready to be a mother the Sisters ordered Nancy to be known as Colette’s sister. Nancy moved to London to continue her midwifery training while Colette stayed with the Sisters at Fatima Lodge. This secret weighed heavily on Nancy for many years until she finally sought the courage to tell Colette the truth.
Whilst Colette lives with a foster family nearby Nancy juggles work and family life, seeing Colette as much as possible. Nancy has her own sense of style and loves fashion. Despite putting her foot in it at times she is down to earth, witty and wants to stand on her own two feet.
