Season 6

Premiere date: April 2, 2017
Nonnatus house faces the changes of 1962, from the beacon of the contraceptive pill and new welfare policies. Back in Poplar, the austere Sister Ursula is appointed the new head of Nonnatus House, and Sister Julienne finds herself demoted. As they strive to help mothers and families cope with the demands of childbearing, disability, disease and social prejudice, our beloved medics must make choices - and fight battles - of their own.
